Review of the Introduction to the Book of Revelation
Revelation 1:1-8
1) The Revelation of Jesus Christ (the Son of God), which God [the Father] gave unto him (Jesus Christ), to shew (prove) unto his (God's) servants [the] things which MUST "shortly" come to pass; and he (Jesus Christ) sent and signified it (this book) by his angel (Gabriel) unto his servant John (the Apostle):
2) Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he (John) saw [in vision].
3) BLESSED is he that readeth (studies) and they that hear (understand) the words of this prophecy, and KEEP those things which are written therein: for (because) "the time" is at hand.
4) John to the "seven" churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him (God the Father) which is, and which [always] was, and which is to come (always will be); and from the "seven" spirits which are before his (God the Father's) throne;
5) And from Jesus Christ (the Son of God), who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto HIM (Jesus Christ) that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his (Jesus Christ's) own "blood,"
6) And hath made US kings and priests unto God and (who is] his (Jesus Christ's) Father (God); to him (Jesus Christ) be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
7) Behold, he (Jesus Christ) cometh with "clouds;" and every "eye" shall see him (Jesus Christ), and they also (the wicked) which pierced HIM (Jesus Christ): and all kindreds of the earth shall WAIL because of him (Jesus Christ). EVEN SO, Amen.
8) "I (Jesus Christ) am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending," [thus] saith the Lord [God the Father], which is, and which [always] was, and which is to come (always will be), [so saith] the ALMIGHTY [God the Father].
